I am so new to this

Hello everyone! This is my first attempt at making a blog. Gee, I hope it works. I suppose; if all else fails....follow directions ;-) I named my blog; "What is happening here" after an old demonstration song; that for the life of me I can't remember it's name or band at this moment, but will post later. As, I feel it is appropriate, in this country now, and has been for some thirty years now. I am frightened for my children, and grandchildren.
I have always been an amateur bird watcher; and my heart is breaking over the uncontrollable (us) death of these creatures, all over the world! Dropping dead from the sky's, washing ashore, struggling in tons of oil, loss of habitat etc. The corporate highly paid media talking heads want us to believe such ridiculous answers to these, and other catastrophic stories from around the world. Am I THAT stupid? I am not as educated as many, BUT my instincts are fairly good. And we are NOT being told the truth. I suppose not, when over 100 journalists have been murdered, in 2010 alone! How many truth telling scientists have died suspiciously in the past, as well? Scary times. I am watching my country, which I love (the land), turn into a government that I am ashamed of. The whole country is screaming: WE Need Jobs, and what has the government pursued vehemently? Health care! I'm not saying that Health Care is not an important issue; I'm saying that this government is NOT listening to the people. We are the people, and without us, the elite would not be the elite. I'm getting negative, s I'll rest my case for now and see if I created a blog; which probably no one will see...LOL
